Antigrav technology has progressed past its infancy, and allows rapid vertical transport throughout many major cities. Unfortunately, its implementation draws massive amounts of power, and is thus confined to predefined lanes. An aerocar venturing offgrid will fall back upon its emergency battery, before plummeting out of the sky.

Many heavy vehicles take advantage of the field. Skytrains are often seen ferrying steel from Gary to Chicago's factories.
